An Outlaw Birthday!

ay hey!!!!!!!!! Hello everyone! Howdy I should say, right? : ) Let’s get in the Western mood! We are opening the salon's door for all that would like to join us over the Greeting Card challenge at the Outlawz!

I am so glad to be part of the Outlawz team. If you need a place for inspiration…and have a little fun you got it. Everyone is very friendly and eager to help you with the newest technique out there! I hope I will see you there soon!

Yiihahhha! Let’s brake down my little western themed birthday card!

CowGirl Gilli was colored with copic markers. I added just a little touch of stikles to her star…she is the law! . I wanted a look that was country but not too deep…so I added some lace to create a romantic girly country fell. The distressed look was created by using Distress inks from ranger. All the “lace” was made using Martha Stewart punches. I am not sure if I was super successful building a leathery frame around Gilli base….well that was the idea..I kinda liked it lol. Of course a country look asks for a little jute…and there you go! I draw the balloons and colored them with copics. I wanted them to have a dimensional look so I cut them and used foam tape and added the cords which Gilli happily holds. I skipped the gloss this time, although I love using that.

My Dp papers are from Lilly Bee Design and Bo Bunny. It is so hard to find deep colors these days. I got lucky with these pads.

So this week try to make some time and grab your gear and make a project!

How about a hug?

arlings!!!! I have missed you! I have not see you guys for a while LOL. Well that is how it goes. We get entangled with daily tasks and the poor blog suffers lol

But here I am with a new project to share with you! This project was inspired by the new challenge over The Outlawz at the Greeting Card challenge group. Sending an hug and lovin’. Isn’t that theme cute? : )

So I am going nuts on the red here with my new project…: ). I was thinking on which image to work. I wanted to show I was with my open arms ready to give all my friends a hug…so Gilli Balloon was super perfect for it!!!!

As you can see Gilli lost her balloons…and ta da! How about a hug?!

Easy right? I told you! you can use these babies for any occasion…I will repeat like a parrot lol.

I colored Gilli with copic markers. Yeap…fearful red…one of the hardest color to conquer lol…I will keep on trin’ lol..but I like this result…Remember if you like to learn how to color with copics. I highly recommend my dear friend Suzanne’s classes. She is an amazing teacher and you will learn a lot you will see your copic skills getting better and better!

All the punches used in this card are from Martha Stewart collection. The little lace oval and the side swirls were created using the silhouette die cutter. All pieces were distressed with Ranger Distress inks and touched with a little stickles. Paper from LilyBeeDesigns.

Merry Christmas my friend~

oday is Christmas eve. So Merry Christmas to everyone…special one for my lovely ladies from the Gilli DT. I hope you will have a lovely and jolly holiday. I will also wish a special thank you to my lovely BFF and also lady boss ( that is how her Dt call her) Suzanne J. Dean. Honestly I think I am the one that got a gift, part of my Chanukah miracle…a special person that I call friend was made in Santa’s workshop lol. Oh yeah, he also broke the mold after the created her lol.

We from the CMC DT delivered a few gifts to our lady boss and also created a few projects to say a special thanks to Suzanne!

Here is my little project. I like to think Suzanne will look like Gilli in this card on Christmas eve lol…wearing a Zebra print pj’s and strolling with her little pillow everywhere till Santa comes to town! Gosh if there is someone that deserves a down time is my lovely buddy! lol. By the way have you seen her class 5? No, you have no idea what you are missing out! Tons of technique and information for you to get the best from your copics!

Well, I will wrap up here but not without wishing my BFF a Wild and Prosperous New Year (wild in a positive way lol!!!). Lots of new friends, and funny stories ahead! I hope to see you soon..you know you room is ready here LOL.

Happy Hanukkah!

reidel Dreidel! LOL! YAY! Festival of Lights! Hanukkah is here! Chag sameah!!! Have you got all your candles lined up? I do. I actually got pretty ones..you will see : ). Oh what a miracle…these days where everything is kinda eeh…lol we have to believe the light will shine on!

I would love to share with you a project that I made. This project was published last year at on of my favorite magazines..Through the Craft room door by Suzanne and Marti.

This project is a gift card holder made out of a white paper bag. Quite handy the little thing with lots of space to write in and secret compartment to put your little gift.

Gilli was colored with copic markers. I also used my faithful copic multiliners to add a little cute Magen David necklace to Gilli Tee . She is ready to spin her dreidel! I used regular card stock and also DCWV papers. Nestabilities® Square lace and matching stamp from StampingScraping ® . The lovely border was made with Martha Stewart punch…and lots of glitter .

Here you can see how it looks on the inside, where you could write a lovely message to the person you are presenting this gift!

When you pull the little tassel on the side…ta dah!

There it is..your lovely gift card..ready to make someone very happy! lol.

Winter Bride

ello hello everyone. Everyone baking up a storm? Humm I can see beautiful tables everywhere! I might try this year once more to make some sufganiyot.Oh my I grow up eating those as treats every now and then ( We called them “Dreams” lol)…and has been a few years that I have not made them. It takes a village LOL. But the results are just heavenly!

For those not familiar with these little heavenly treat..preparing and eating them is part of Hanukah tradition. We will see lol…these little dream is heavy in calories lol…but hey it is a holiday lol.

Talking about special occasions and family…This month at the BookEndz book club ( By my Zebbie friend Suzanne Dean lol…oh Zeebie is her thing lol – just go check out her blog lol) we have not one but two books…The first one I shared with you was The invisible thread. The second (extra) one one is Christmas Wedding. Tell me about family issues…and gathering for a wedding lol. I won’t tell more or it will spoil. Holidays are very busy and can be a little stressful, now can you imagine having a wedding in the midst of all? Oh well lol.

Here is my little Winter wedding card. I used Gilli seating bride to make this card. I decided to go with a non traditional bridal color, a bit of a modern touch I guess. All coloring was done with copic markers. This image originally did not have the veil but it was super easy to add one…just do the same thing you usually do when you color pleats : ) (check CMC class 5 and boost your pleat work!).

I added tiny white dots and made them sparkle with a touch of stickles. To create a satin texture on Gilli’s wedding gown I used Smooch. All the cuts you see, lacy and swirls were made using silhouette studio, with exception of the snowflakes (it is a winter wedding after all lol). Snowflakes were made using Martha Stewart punch. All pieces were chalked to give a little dimension. Of course I added stickles to all my pieces.

One of my papers is My Minds Eye and the other I am not sure since I found this piece of paper with my scraps ( got to figure out a way to name them).

Simple…love.

his time of the year a lot of us reflect a bit. Sure we need to try to do that everyday…and I think this is a life exercise and we get better as we move along : ). It was interesting though to see how some of us actually put all those “promises” and make good. The truth is that some people do good deeds and just keep quiet. I like this way : ). But sometimes a life experience can be so big so profound that goes beyond you and your close circle…it can change others lives forever. Why all this talk? A book I read over the BookEndz club. The Invisible Thread. A must read for the young or old. I won’t give the plot…an actuall a true story.

Anyway I will stop here otherwise I will give away. One thing I will share with you is how I was inspired to make my project for this month’s book club! What inspired me? “ The simple things in life that demonstrate that we care. Do you see what Gilli waitress have over her tray? A brown bag. I will stop here : ).

I colored Gilli using copic markers but added a few tweaks…like the lines on her shirt. I did that by using my copic multiliners. I also used my multi to write the sentiment (Love is a simple thing!). I cut Gilli by hand plus Martha circular tool. The lovely aqua color background was created by using chalk inks ( I get mine over Oozak with Rusty).The border was made from Martha Stewart punch plus a touch of stickles. The swirls are from the Silhouette studio library. The little corner embellishment was made using a cut from the silhouette. I added a cut to both side of my paper and threaded with twine. See the link? LOl. Read the book . Anyway…the little brown bag was fun to make since I got a big brow bag and cut the paper to make a tiny little one. I added a heart decorated tissue to make volume and also some hearts confetti.

ee I told you I would be back soon with a new project . Hi everyone! One more project for the holidays! I went a little bit hands on on this circular card. I had my finger full of glitter and glue LOL..FUN FUN FUN! This card was actually inspired by those deep red poinsettias that we see so much around this time of the year. Aren’t they cheery? I think so too…and guess what I noticed? I noticed that some folks add glitter to them…I am in! lol

My card today is a pretty simple one. A circular card. This baby was fun to make. I simply cut all the circles bases using my Martha Stewart circular cutter. For this card I used Gilli florist rubber stamp…HA! I keep on telling ya..Gilli Stamp is for all seasons…you won’t regret having all of them! You will get a lot from your stamp. Anyway, Gilli was colored with copic markers but I added a few things..a little change in her flower head…I used the stamped flower as a base for my “poinsettia”, it was just a matter of making a little start kind of shape with my deepest red. I also decide to add a colored glitter to make it cheerful. Another little add on..I adorned her little basket, and made into a Holiday basket just by adding a little holly arrangement. (you can do it too!). Now her little flower bouquet was colored with seasonal colors plus a little stickle…hey, it is the holidays after all lol.

I guess my favorite part is the tee with the words “Noel” on it. Just by making some very light pleats into the tee under the bust area I manage to give the tee a more dressy look : ). Since it is “kinda” chilli around here, Gilli is using a skin white polka dots long sleeve shirt! Her “hair do” got a little lift too! I added a few extra elastic bands through her braids. Gosh I cannot wait to see what you are all doing with your Gillis!!!

The lace border on the card is a wide punch from Martha Stewart, altered. The velvet bow I made by using a velvet ribbon I got at Mikes. The delicate pearls, this time I did not squooshed them, were made with white liquid pearls.

I hope you will pull out your compass, PB jar top or dust off that cricut cartidge to make a circular card and join us over the Through the Craft room Door Challenge! The prize is sweet as a fruit cake…well much better ; )!

Peace and Love

oday I am sharing with you a little project I made for the current Color me Creative copic challenge. We are to use Creams and golds. Nice combo right? I think it would be super cool if you could join us this month! Beyond the regular prizes CMC, by Suzanne J. Dean is offering a boat load of prizes! Your projects will count as entries for this lovely basket of prize! There are other ways for you to increase your chances and also make a good deed! I will tell you this card was nice to make. I had to challenge myself to pick colors that actually looked gold and cream (if you would like to learn how to color in these tones Suzanne’s classes are great!). I used Gilli Angel for this project. Gilli was colored with copic markers. I have to practice some more on these combos, but on the top of everything I got some goo coming out of my xpress paper..humm. Is this happening with you guys?

Anyway my die cuts are from the silhouette library. Papers from Prima and Melissa Frances. I distressed the edges of my paper and paper frame cut using Distress inks. The big swirl under the bow is a cut made with gold mica paper from PaperTemptress…(it is a beautiful paper). The little pearls, the squished ones too, were made using liquid pearls. All that sparkles, compliments of my heavy hand on stickles lol.

Let it snow, let it snow!

oday was a another chilling day…brrrr. The cold get to your bones. I am not a huge fan in dressing in layers…not in my genetic code I think LOL. Too much clothing…I am not wild as go bare foot around (yeah yeah I can still hear my dad’s little voice telling me to put my sandals on lol) but 3 layers of clothing to me is claustrophobic. Don’t laugh I got issues lol. I love winter and love snow…if I only could pull a polar bear through out LOL.

Talking about cold! The new challenge over the Greeting card challenge over the Outlawz is “ Let it snow!'”. So you are invited to join us and have some fun in our winter wonderland. Hi people from down south who is enjoying the first heat of almost summer…lol. Up here the white stuff is creping on everybody little by little!

I created my winter wonderland using cuts from Silhouette Library. I just drool over this snowflake doily lol. I distressed the edges a little bit with chalk inks…give a little cold feel. Of course snow blings (is that even a word?) so I added a little glamour dust and stickles ( oh yeah I am pulling on the double this winter lol).

The image is Gilli Skater and trust me she is ready to come and do some winter magic with you too! I colored Gilli with copic markers and added a little detail on her corset top. The idea was to create a transparent sparkly lacy top for her costume ( Oh gosh I watch ice skate competition because of the dresses too lol). Papers are from DCWV and MME. The lovely pearls were made using liquid pearls.

The magic of light

oday I will be sharing with you a little project I had a wonderful time preparing. I have shared with your my love for lights. Lights can say so much…can express moods so easily. Lights can tell you a story in one little glimpse. It is magical…some lights dance or guide, some cry and others celebrate. Today I choose to celebrate a gift…your friendship.

I had this project in mind for a little while since I came across this lovely Mica paper over Paper Temptress store. So I got this lovely golden mica paper that has a lovely metallic sheen and a perfect opacity to make a lantern. The next step was easy, picked super cute shape box from the Silhouette library and cut the paper. Assembly the little box is super easy since the cut pattern has some guides. After assembly the box I added a battery operated flicker candle (Please do not use this with real candles, for sure a fire hazard).

The little lantern was already looking so cute just like so, but since we are talking celebration here I added little bow made with a gorgeous red velvet ribbon also from PaperTemptress. For a little extra charm a three tiny jingle bells (from SU) and a little paper vine colored with copics (silhouette library die cut). Here you can see how this mica paper has a super nice color (by the way you can find other colors over PT too).

I can see this little project being adapted to all kinds of celebration..don’t you think? Oh, and even if you don’t have a fency shmensy machine to make intricate cuts for you. You can trace a simple pattern and cut with a craft knife, the results and the glow would be just the same! No good hand coordination? Pull your circle punch…a lovely polka dot pattern would be cute too! Let it glow!

A sassy Santa

eason…yeap that is the season for me to pull out my glitter stash out and use it without a tiny bit of remorse! LOL. I love the stuff, what can I say? Powder thin or bite size I am in for a little twinkle twinkle in my cards. Yes..I might have been at “the birdcage” in my past life…yes, I meant “at”..not “in”..LOL You will figure it out ; ).

I already shared with you that I love little lights all over the place..so I am in full blown mode thinking on how to adapt them to my own environment lol..Oh you just wait lol. For now I will be focusing on making a few holiday cards to share with you. Proof that Gilli can be adapted to fit any season…here she is….Gilli Parisian with her cute little Santa helper outfit..Super Sassy ha? Check it out.

I colored Gilli with copic markers. I added a couple lines to give Gilli outfit a Santa belt. . In a separate piece of paper I doodled a little Santa hat. After cutting and pasting the hat over Gilli’s head I added some white flocking. I think the flocking gives such a nice touch ; ). Talking about touch I wished I could rock these shoes LOL. I made the pattern using copics…and added…stickles..of course :).

Now I was happy to be able to put something that I learn from buddy Wini a few months past..a super cool candy cane border made using score tapes. You can see how here. Lot of inspiration over Wini’s blog. I loved how this came out. I used 3 different glitter colors…2 different whites…one is glamour dust ( I loooove this stuff) and a vanilla color that I got as freebie from a British mag. The red was also part of the freebie.

The base for this tall card was created using a design from the silhouette sd library. I added stickles to the lacy cut to give a festive look ( like I need excuses lol). The little pearls are made with Liquid pearls. The die cut tree is also a silhouette library design. I was able to add tiny balls to the tree by using liquid pearls. Last but not least…the paper. My Minds Eyes (Signature Christmas).

A very furry Xmas!

I there! Are you starting to enjoy the season yet? I hope you are. One of the things I love about this time of the year are the lights. I think there is something special about strolling around by hundreds of little lights adorning tress and paths…makes me so happy! I wish people would keep them throughout the winter. It looks so magical!

Today I will share with you a project that has a story behind it. This project evolved from one idea to another. I will explain. I am participating on the BookEndz book club, my BFF Suzanne had this genius idea to combine Craft and book reading! Ta-dah! You should come in. It is fun. The last book was Emily and Einstein. Lovely lovely tale. Today is the wrap up party and also the debut for the December book. See perfect timing for you to join (I heard you can in goodies). So this Gilli card started with Gilli strolling with her furry friend …like this…I though the card was lovely and fit the theme of the book : )…but I kept on thinking about a tree…

So I had this idea… I wanted to make a tree…hummm…not flat but with dimension…So why not a ribbon tree!! Now seriously, sometimes I wonder what people think when they learn how long it takes us to make a card lol. So, don’t you think the whole look got a bit more festive ? lol. Now Gilli is partying with my other DT friends from Through the Craftroom Door Room magazine! Gilli Stamps is the current challenge sponsor….SO come and join us!!!!!!

Gosh I have to confess I loooove getting my fingers glued! Sometimes with all this fancy schmency tools we get now a days…we forget how fun is to work with basics..Scissor, paper and glue!

For this project I used Gilli Stroll rubber stamp colored with copic markers. The little doggie was done by hand and also colored with copics. I cut the stamped image using Martha circle cutter tool. The edges were inked with 2 tones of chalk ink. Rhinestones from studio G and the candy canes were made by hand using Mikes ribbon. The cute papers are from My minds Eyes and Studio Calico. Gilli Stroll was stamped on copic Xpress paper.

ello hello everyone! How was your thanksgiving? Black friday anyone? LOL Gosh I have never seen so many cards at the parking lots at midnight! What I was doing outside? I wanted to check it out…the lines were insane! lol After witnessing all that we stopped for a nice hot cocoa and a bagel…yeah sinful I know. I spy a tradition though…humm maybe I need to save really hard to spend all on black friday….I meant the calories LOL

Now is the season to to start hunting for that perfect gift for all out friends and family. I love to make home made things…with this economy home made makes things even more special : ). A special gift ask for a special card so I prepared this little project to maybe share some ideas with you. I used Gilli Pj…oh Christmas morning…one of those scenes on Hallmark movies that makes me cry . Anyway Gilli was colored with copic markers. The polka dot pattern was creating by using a white marker. The little gifts added to the scene were also colored with copic marker. The layout was inspired by last week’s outlaw challenge…gift wrapped. Well the card after all this work is a gift on itself…so the layout using My Minds Eye paper mimics 3 gift boxes : ).

Hey Hey Let’s go!

hhhello lovely folks! How are you all doing today? Planning the weekend? Well, I will be glad to have a chance to straighten my eternal messy table lol. Chilly weekends are awesome for a little clean up…and you know what else…SALES! lol It is almost that time of the year were everyone is talking about making a good deal and finding a great bargain : ). Well, we sure have a lot to incentive the savings now days lol.

I made a project inspired by all the guys and gals that are getting ready to hit the Black Friday sales LOL.

Gilli Shopper is ready to hit the stores! Little brown bag included LOL. The whole idea was to make a little card for my buddies partners in crime and enablers (you know who you are!) ! Always helping me out in justifying getting that little new paper pad out there LOL. Gilli was colored with copics. I used E tones since this project was made for the current challenge over House of Gilli Challenge . I love earth tones, they are so rich and you can do so much with them. The little detailed patterns on Gilli’s blouse were created with white pen and copic multiliners. Since I was going for a very feminine look I added a couple hair pins on Gilli’s hair. I tried to create a corduroy texture on her pants…but I am not sold. I will try again soon. : ). Papers are from Authentique, Echo Park and My Minds Eyes. Swirls from my silhouette sd library and punches from Martha Stewart and EK.

ey you! Hello Hello! Oh my thanksgiving preparations are starting to heat up! Thanksgiving is a nice day…I hope everyone will have a great time traveling to see your families. Lots of blessing to the ones also who will stick around or be just among friends! I wonder how many turkey and stuffing recipes are out there. I bet it is like Chilli…everyone has a secret ingredient!

I am serving you today with a brand new project I made for the Outlawz Greeting Challenge. A simple Thank you. I chose to use untraditional colors for this time of the year. I decided to give a bit of rest to my E’s (copic marker lengo for earth tones). LOL. Well they rested just for a bit though LOL. Gilli was colored with copic markers. As you can see, Gilli Waitress got a cute little festive head bowl. You must dress up for the season correct? . She also got a sweet little lilac rhinestones earrings. You see, one can really add as much as you like to your Gilli image. Just ask around how fun and proud you feel when you kick up a notch on your Gilli image. Anyway the cute papers used are from Authentique and Lilli Bee design…oh my lovely buddy Suzanne would say “ we are weak” when it comes to paper LOL (She beats me anytime though LOL). My swirls were made with with my silhouette SD (another thing I am a nut for…die cut). All the sparkles provided by…Stickles! Gosh I am silly today. Cardstock is generic (read here box store paper lol).

Talking about box…I hope you enjoyed this little out of the box thank you card (for this time of the year at least!). As always I am thankfulfor you fellow crafter that pop by here every now and then to say hello and leave me notes of encouragement! Thank you I love them all! Come in anytime! ello guys and gals. Is everyone engaged in preparing for the start up of the holiday season? It is such a hurry hurry time of the year. I hope you will have some time to smell the greens. I do like the smells that comes with this season. I am looking for the lights too. Always a show apart! I am baring some super cool news! Today is my very first post as a Design Team member over Paper Temptress Community (Super talented designers!). I have been a fan of Patricia papers for a while, and oh boy, she has quite a lot of different things when it comes to paper. The whole selection over The PaperTemptress is quite irresistible. I am very glad to be able to share with you some of the items Patricia offer in her on line store in my projects.

Since all the stores I have been this week are already dressed for the holidays I decided to start the season with a “Happy Holidays” card using Gilli Showgal. Gilli stamp was colored with copic markers. For this project I used the Solar White Thick Columns and the red thick columns. The lovely embossing gives such an elegant touch to a card without even trying hard! The red is rich and the shade is very nice. I was so glad when I found this sating ribbon over Paper Temptress, yes she got ribbons too! The green is so deep and true to holiday colors that I was delighted.

If you are looking for materials for your christmas cards. There you go. Column papers are a great option, don’t forget to add some ribbon too! It is holidays we are talking about after all!

An 1920’s affair

ey there! People I will tell you I was sooo not ready for this past weekend. We got fall alright…fall[ing] temperatures that is! lol Poor little kids that will be trick or treating in this crazy cold! One could even hand popsicles without worries! I am glad I had taken my faithful wool coat for a brush up! I will say the weather was just right stay in and work on projects .

Today I would love to share with you a project that I made using Gilli Classy! AHA! you thought it was a different one! lol Trust me when I say Gilli is from crafter to crafter! I like t get a lot for my monies! So Gilli is made with super high quality deep etch rubber and you can use the image for whatever you like! The whole collection is so worth it . Crafters’s word!

Okay I will share with you what I did to get this adorable 1920’s look. I inked my Gilli Classy and then very carefully removed the ink from the collar and the mid section of her cardigan. I added a little neck line, simple line (you can totally do it) and then extended the neck. Next I added another little line to create the sash. You can stop here and the dress would be fine..I just added little of the sash to create a little charm line lol. Using my multiliners I added little circles (with tiny line in between) to create a long string pearl necklace (very 20’s). Note the little knot bow to Gilli shoes…well I wanted her to have a real feminine look. Next in line the hat. On the sides on the hat, pull a line down going down and behind the head. We are just adding a little floppy look to the hat : ). If you want to be fancy add a little extra line to the hat cap and create a little belt . Now the peak a boo hairs (is that how we call it? lol)….that I am sure you can nail…just make a little curl with your pen! Ta- Dah! A new wardrobe for your Gilli…perfect Halloween costume! Well a non scary one!

Anyway I had a ball making this project. I got to add accessories, like the pearl necklace with tiny real pearls made with liquid pearls and I also picked a couple crystal rhinestones to give that extra luxurious feel of the 20’s. Not forgetting the stockings and white gloves. Just how I imagine the character from this book we are reading over BookEndz would dress. Our October book is "Mercy of Thin Air" by Ronlyn Domingue. My bff Suzanne has this super cool book club where you read and craft about it! Yes, Suzanne has a prize to the winner! We have a ball discussing the book in a chat. I am so glad with this project, not only because I got to show you how you can transform your Gilli but I had a chance to put the scraps of my amazing Authentique paper to a good use! Oh! ello everyone! Oh brother I am not believing we will have a nor'easter this early. Oh well nature has a funny way to tell us that this much we know about her..NOTHING! lol As a scientist in other life (gosh seems it was yersterday) one thing I learned. Methods change, accuracy gets better..but there is no such a thing in my mind we know it all now. Things change and luckyly enough (?) we learn how to deal with the curves life send at us . Hey not saying sometimes I feel like the guy in this card! LOL No cure for tantrums yet reported!

I am sharing a project with you that I colored for our CMC Color me Creative copic challenge over Suzanne J. Dean Class ning. Oh guys you have to come over. The challengers bring all of us so much inspiration! Many many beautiful works..for all levels from beginner to advanced we all have a load of fun. For this image from Mo’s digital pen I used my copic markers and made the details using white pen. I also created the little blanket/comforter with different shades and colors of copics. The wall paper was also created using copic. I will get back with the paper name..the cat is sleeping over my note .

Hello Sweets!

ello sweet crafters! Are you enjoying these precious fall days? I cannot ever get over how colorful looks outside of the door. The best part is that everyday the color and the light is different. Awww nature is so smart…never boring and always so gorgeous!

Today I will be sharing with you a project I created for the House of Gilli Challenge blog. I am already laughing because I am a saver…I save al tiny pieces of paper I got lol. I drive myself nuts. I clear my work space and trust me in a matter of hours everything is upside down. Back to the challenge…the theme is use something recycled and add a texture. AHA! I knew that dat was coming that I would put little pieces I saved! Seriously I have issues I saved non used punched pieces LOL.

Gilli Lollipop was colored with copic markers. I am into Kelly Green lately..shh I even got a nice coat in this color lol. This time I tried to give Gilli a little more ethnic skin tone…Not bad, right? Her sweet lollipop was created using twine. A little left over I had around too (I told you…I am a basket case LOL). To create a hard candy texture I added a blog of glossy accents on the top of the twine. I think you could see a little bit if you click on the pic.

The base for the stamp is just a square piece of paper, distressed with distress inks. The little lace border was made with EK punch. The pattern papers are from Echo Park (Spring time). The paper was cut with a Fiskars circle punch. The polka dot paper was made using a simple white pen in some left over yellow cardstock.

I cannot wait to see your project over House of Gilli Challenge blog! Hey all those little pieces of left over could earn you a sweet little gift from Gilli!

All about pink!

ello hello everyone. Brrr it’s just me getting old or is it chilly outside? Let’s say both LOL. I am not a layering person…dealing with undershirts, sweaters, jackets, tights…so not for me. Although I must say it is nice to dress up! : ). Talking about dress up this month is time to dress in pink. October is month for Breast Cancer Awareness (BC). So much info have been made accessible and put out there for prevention and how they treat BC. Please don’t forget to do the self-exam every month..that includes..girls and guys! Be aware…BC can be treated…and I hope soon we will win this war!

I made this “Hope” card using Gilli Parisian..she is very sassy but aware : ). I colored Gilli using copic markers. I wanted a more “grown up” kind of pink..so I picked some more deep shades of rose to color her blouse and skirt. I need a fun place to go so I can get a nice pair of heels like Gilli’s LOL.

The base shape was created using my silhouette sd. Ah this machine never gets old. Luv it. The little loops were created using 2 rows of punched papers (Recollection punch. BTW I love this punch. One of this days I will make show and tell about my punches). I added some Stickles on the top to give a little sparkle. My idea was to create a symbolic shout that we need to shine! Papers are from Echo Park (Walk in the Park)…they are so pretty pretty. All the little pearls were made using liquid pearls..and my hope ribbon was created by using simply a piece of cardstock plus copic multiliner.

ello hello my lovely friends! Oooohhh yeah it is that time of the year…Have you gotten your flu shot yet? NO? HURRY! No seriously hurry. I was under the weather for over a month…ickkky! I will not be fooling around I will get my shoot asap! I will not handle to be away from my crafts anymore this year! lol

How do you like this cute little project I made with our sweet little Gilli Nurse for The Outlawz greeting challenge? She is right here to take good care of you! You see she even got you a tissue!

Sweet little nurse Gilli was colored with copic markers. I added a few touches with white pen. Oh, how cool is that I made her little shoes like it is patent…like the old movies! I love those nurses with the hair hat and all. They were all just so cute…you did fell cared for, right? Well I like the modern ones too with bears and cute little polka dots on their scrubs too : ). Not to worry : )

The adorable papers are from Authentique. Ahhh love at first sight I will tell you (no I was not paid to say that lol). The colors of this paper is just way too cute and so easy to work with. The swirls are from the Silhouette sd library. I distressed the edges a bit and added a touch of stickles. I also added a little glossy accents. I love it how it adds a little body to the accent. The sweet little lacy border edge is a punch from EK. I loved this little punch..so delicate. I am sure I will be using this many many times.

Boo! Happy Halloween

ey there! Here I come again with one more cutsey spoky creature to share! Halloween is almost around the corner and I see people everywhere grabbing candies! The parade of trick or treaters (okay..is that a word? am I getting in trouble here ?LOL). They are just soo cute. Specially the furry ones lol. Yeah I am a sucker for pets dressed up lol.

I colored this cute little bear from Stampfairy with copic markers. It was super easy to color…lots of fun : ).

The paper is from Paper Tray Ink (hey thanks Ann!! Again! lol). This paper is just so cute. I cut the circular base with a Martha tool and added a strip of tool behind to give a little cutsey look : ). I also decided to make a tulle bow to go with it. The little black swirls were actually created with tiny left over pieces of cardstock. That was super easy! Of course I did add some good old stickles to the project, including at the border of the tulle frame…gotta love this stuff! My little sentiment is actually a little piece of of a Halloween ribbon from Martha Stewart.

Furry Witchcraft!

ello hello! How are my fellow crafters doing? I hope everyone is having a sweet week. Gearing up for Halloween? This holiday is fun and sooo creepy. I am still learning my way through it. I like the origins and how it has evolved through the years. What I cannot deny is that everything is so cute!

What can be more hallowinish (what? what kind of word is that? lol) then a witch black kitty . This image is from Glitterbabe's..cute ha? Many more over there. This project was created for the Challenge over CMC Copic Challenge. Oh if you have not joined us you have no idea what you are missing! The cute kitty, the pumpkin and the broom were colored with copic markers..lots of little details made with white pen. If you look close by I added a furry fell to the kitty by using copic multiliners. I love to create textures using these pens. The circular base was cut using Martha Stewart circular cuter. I added a series of distress inks to the edge..going for a spooky feel. I created some starts by using multiliners. The papers are from Paper Tray Ink, a sweet gift from my buddy Ann Frann (Thanks Ann). The creepy little pumpkin edges is a punch from EK…distressed with the very popular Limited Fall edition from Ranger. The colors are super bright…I kind like it. Although I always say…purple and orange are my Fear Factor colors! LOL.

I added a little extra touch by using a little swirl die cut from Silhouette sd, twine and a little sentiment (Martha Stewart Halloween).

Be my Angel

I everybody! I missed you guys! . We had a lovely time during the Gilli Bday party and all! Stay in touch the Gilli Shop is getting the last touch ups and soon will be up and running! Lotta work I will tell ya. So forgive us if there are a few delays in responding emails and posting things : ).

Also yours truly here have been trying to be good, just like Gilli Angel here lol.I had to take a little unscheduled brake..but here I am! Gathering my energies so I am full of charge to have fun with you all.

Here is a new project I would like to share with you all. A little celestial project. Gilli Angel was colored with Copic markers. Well, as you can see I used very little color on her. I was trying to go for an ethereal look. Don’t quote me on that, I believe the paper I used was DCWV. Generic skittles and liquid pearls as embellishments. All the dies here are nestalibities and also from the silhouette die cut library. The little start was created by using marvy uchida punch ( I just love chubby stars). For added shine I used stickles. Sentiments were written by using copic multiliner. Oh I almost forgot…the star frame…made with Martha Stewart punch…and distress inks.

Glamour in B&W

ello everyone! Me again! I told ya we will be heating up things this week! Just check out the news about GILLI BDAY BASH at the end of this post! Did I hear fun and gift? LOL Read on!
So how are you all enjoying your weekend? I can for sure say I am doing one of my favorite things. Coloring! But coloring aside one of the things I love to to when I have the time, specially during cold weather months is to cozy up with a blankie and watch a nice old movie. I am not talking about 80’s stuff…I am talking about old Hollywood glam that is no longer in existence. Oh there is nothing like a fun Cary Grant movie…or a swing by Fred and Ginger!
My project for the CMC copic challenge was inspired by the Old Hollywood glamour. The classic movies that never goes out of style. Movies like “Now voyager” with Betty Davis (yes I named my cat after her lol), or “ Roman Holiday” with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck…how about “Flying Down to Rio” with Ginger and Fred? Oh, who doesn’t want to dance like that!? I don’t know, but there is something about a black and white movie that just ooze class, romance and just plain fun…even when the plot is shmaltzy lol. I am am old movie fan…and to be honest as they say…”if you never seen the movie..the movie is not old!”

My idea was to bring all the sophistication and the style of the actresses from once upon a time Hollywood.
I colored Gilli Seating bride with shade of gray (all Cs). Her tiara…of yeah on those days not only princesses used tiaras…I colored with copics and added a little stickles to add a little sparkle. I added a few black pearls to Gilli dress using a Pearl Pen from Viva décor. oh I also add a little touch of black diamond to Gilli pump’s. The very enigmatic eyes were created by using copic multiliners and adding a little shade of gray…just like real make up!
The ornate frame was created by using a Silhouette die cut piece and adding an embossed backing. I created that cushion texture by tracing lines with my score pal! I added tiny pearls to the cross points…Oh you cannot be classy without pearls…did you see Gilli’s sweet pearl ring? Delightful ha? LOL. I should mention that I covered the die cut with a coat of Black Diamond Stickles and a coat of Glossy effects. I did the same thing with the elegant candelabra. My papers are Authentique (yeap once again..I told you I love this co) and embossed paper using a Spellbinder impressabilities with touches of distress ink. The single and dramatic (oh yeah we have drama too lol) red rose was dyed using copic.

ey all! Holly molly just the other day I was winning about the weather…and here I come again! Who put the outdoor AC at full blast? Are you kidding? Gosh it has been chiilllyyy these past few days lol. I was quick in pulling out my flannel pj’s pants out of my pile of winter clothes! Ah…cold weather my uniform ready to go! LOL
Talking about being ready…I think this is the first year I am ahead on making my cards for Halloween! LOL Ohhhh that is scary! lol. I would love to share with you another project for Halloween! A very fashionable mummy! lol. Gilli Parisian is trying it on a cool Halloween costume! She will be a super Booutiful mummy don’t you think?

Okay just just check out those delightful shoes! All right I will say..I would love to have those lol. I colored Gilli Parisian with copic markers. The mummy outfit was created by using copic multiliners. I just added a few lines through Gilli face, arms and legs : ) to give that bandage kind of look. I also transformed her little bonnet into a scary Jack-o-lantern hat LOL…To give Gilli’s skirt a little bit if flair I added a few free hand lines on the bottom of Gilli skirt to obtain a “tulle” effect. I know you could totally make a Gilli mummy too..just get your Gilli out and go for it!
A girl’s bedroom cannot be without a huge mirror and some clothing items hanging around right? So I created the little hangers by using some bead wire I had in hand. The big mirror was made by using a Silhouete die cut shape (altered) and covering the center with aluminum foil. Since we are talking about a very cool gal…we had to add a nice mirror message for everyone! The happy Halloween was written using white pen. The little calendar I made using a few pieces of scrap paper and twine I had around : ). The little spider web is a piece cut from a Martha Stewart punch. Paper from Authentique ( I told I was smitten!) and embossed paper created using Cuttlebug folder.

ow are you all doing? I hope doing good! Kiddos are back in school, normal house routines in place…although I truly believe house cleaning should have an app..lol

Halloween still a but further down on the road but I am trying to be good and getting ahead (ahem!), yeah, right, one day lol. Honestly I had this idea in mind for a little while and I was dying to to try it out! Take a look at this Gilli Ballon transformation…isn’t this “good witch” costume a cutie? It was super easy to do that just grab you Gilli and your markers and ta dah! Gilli will fit whatever you have in mind!

For this projects I stamped Gilli Balloon and colored with copic markers. Her bone chain and skull belt was created using white pen…I might make me one . I also added a cute little spider hair pin over her head..hey witch outfit! I used copic multiliner to created the spider and I added a little stickles for dimension. The ghost balloon were created using copic markers and copic multiliners. The creepy background is an embossed piece using cuttlebug embossing folder, one of the oldie ones. I colored the details with copic markers and distressed parts of it with distress inks. The cute little circles were cut from a super cute cuttlebug embossing folder. I used the debossed side of the images and distress the edges and added a touch of stikles around it to give a little touch. To frame the card I picked a Martha Steward spider web punch and added balck diamond stickles to give more texture and of course sparkle

The yummy paper is from Authentique (gosh I am smitten!) and bazzil. To top it off little twine bows .

Gilli Shopper :: Inspired by a song

ello everybody! It is me! Finally! It seems that I am getting rid of the junk I got! Phew! It took 3 weeks and antibios to get over the stuff I got…I will say it is not funny gasp for air. But thank to big G I am feeling much better. I will have to say that it was also a touch of friendship power! This past weekend I had the ultimate pleasure of meeting some of my online gal pals! I met the adorable and full of positive vibe, Colleen, the original OUTLAW! Yeah Colleen is the owner of the NING ‘The Outlawz” an amazing community of crafters that is super inspiring. Free! I have the pleasure of participating in one of their DTs…I will say…the community is fantastic!
Also in the house was lady Ann and Melanie, dear friends and partners in crime ( They are enablers!!). Thanks ladies for helping me with setting up the bday space! Talia you were not in class but thank you for giving me a super hand! So good to share time with the gals! Last but not least my BFF Suzanne J. Dean, or simply the copic mogul like I call her LOL. Suzanne and I had a lovely time together and she even was brave enough to keep me company while I finished up some goodies for the Gilli Bday party! Suzanne’s class was fantastic as always and the students from the Tristate were a talented bunch! You should have seen the progress they made in just one day!! Congrats ladies! I will say that I cannot wait to be with these ladies once again! I am certain the good vibe of spending time with my my girlfriends helped me to get rid of the bug! lol
Talking about Outlawz…the theme for the current Greeting Card challenge is “Inspired by a song”. Almost instantly a song came to mind “ You’ve got a friend”. For some reason the voices of James Taylor and Carole King comes with the package…I guess it is the classic version. Thanks to mom and dad that introduced me to this lovely song. There is some power in saying to someone…”all you’ve have to do is call…and I will be there..”. Soo good to be able to be there for someone.
I picked Gilli shopper (launched at CHA Summer) for my project and my sentiment says “ Friendship like ours grows like flowers”. Gilli was colored with copic markers. The sentiment was written using copic multiliner on Spellbinder nestability…I added a little color to the edge also using copic markers. Leaves vine punch is from Martha Stewart (MS) collection. The cute butterfly is also a MS punch. All ribbons from Mikes. Kraft papper is recollection and I think my paper is MME (need to double check). The paper edge was distressed using distress inks. All that blings is stickles!

Magical Wishes to you

ello guys and gals! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and creating beautiful things! I am trying to keep my mind busy while sailing through my mega dose of antibios. Thank G for antibios…it can treat hard heads like me very easily! Just like magic!

Talking about magic here I come with a brand new Gilli Project for you. A card sending good wishes to all of you! Gilli Fairy 2 was colored with copic markers. Gilli is seating on a stream of cute butterflies (Martha Stewart Punch). The butterflies were distressed using Distress inks and detailed with Stickles. The cute little lace border was made using Martha Stewart punch. The flowers are prima and skittles are generic. Drops are from Recollections. The lovely tiny pearls are made using liquid pearls. Don’t laugh but one more time I forgot what paper I used but I will be sitting soon to check on my pads were this one came from…It is a lovely hue of creams and golds. The sentiment tag was made using Ek punch.

Relax in your Pj’s

ello everyone. Boy oh boy this was quite an August, right? I grew up in a place with barely or no drastic weather. Now I think I catching up nicely all in one week! Let’s see..earthquake (check), hurricane (check), tornado watch (check)…phew! G-d is great because we are all fine here. My prayers goes to everyone who were affected somehow by this terrible storm. One thing I learned about this beautiful country is that everyone gets together and make it better!

After this very intense few days all I dream of is relax! Funny thing is that I have been a bit under the weather for a couple weeks but I was trying to keep on going…and as a result I became a walking petri dish. Just got hit in the head with a mega dose of antibios, that I am sure will make me soooo slowky that I don’t even want to think about it…lol. I guess I will have to relax somehow LOL.

I think Gilli Pj’s is pure inspiration to me! I might just have to steal her fluffy pillow! Gilli Pj is one of the Gillis launched this past summer!I know some people that would love those sleepers! Gilli was colored with copic markers. The pillow was colored with copics and the pattern created using multiliner and white pen. Once again I will need to find my notes about the paper and update you later. I used distress Inks to color the paper edges. The lovely sparkling paper lace was made using Martha Stewart punches and Stickles. The swirl is a alteration using silhouette library. Ribbon from Mikes. The sentiment I cut and colored using copics.

Now if you excuse me…I will fluff my pillow and be a good girl…for a few minutes lol

ello there! I hope you are keeping safe and dry if you are in the East Coast. After a quick shake, yeap, an earthquake, now guess what? Just to make things more interesting…a hurricane. Okay, are you serious? No, seriously..what else is coming next? I know…I will get my snow boots ready lol I am not kidding with mom nature..lol
We are hitting the end of a lovely and eventful summer. We had some really hot days! Well Gilli stroll found the best solution to deal with the heat. Window shopping and ice cream! What a therapy! LOL. My project, for the Doggy days of summer challenge over SSCC, is a tip on how to deal with a hot day lol
Gilli was colored with copic markers. Her little purse pattern was created using copic multiliners and white pen. I added some stickles for a sparkling touch. Gilli base and the sentiment were made using Dhalia nestability. I think my paper is from recollection and the other I am not sure. I will try to figure it out. Note to self find a good system to write materials..lol.

Well, if you don’t feel like getting out..or if you are on Irene’s path…just sit down relax and color! I hope we will have power to keeping on crafting!

Tres Chic{k}! Gilli Parisian!

ow are my boys and girls pals doing? I am a bit under the weather running fever and all..but I am ok. I am such a stubborn little head LOL. It is hard to knock me down…well maybe not…I’ve been known to go down and laugh hard! You got to be chic even on rough moments : ). Sooo here it is Gilli Parisian!
Gilli Parisian sport all the chic (ness) of all of you! Always in heels and ready to go for any occasion! Isn’t she a tres chic{k} gal? LOL…stick around and you will see how Gilli Parisian can transform itself!! Coming in a post soon!

My project was created keeping a vintage (ish) feel to it. I distressed all the edged of the papers and and punched pieces. All the cute little pearls were made using one of my favorite essential things…liquid pearls : ). The swirls are a combination I created using the silhouette shapes…I love the library they have. I think my ribbon is from Mike’s..but I am not 100% sure…I know they would have something like that.
Gilli Parisian was colored with copic markers, I am adding a list at the end of the post for you. I also created the striped paper using copics : ). You gotta love these markers LOL. The cute square eyelet piece is from Spellbinders.

ello crafty people! So, have you found a little time for yourself this weekend? Oh, I sure hope so. Well did manage to finish a project and I started to reorganize my ribbons. I have a particular way to keep my ribbon collection (do not laugh I know you have troubles with it too LOL). I needed to do some serious catch up and I still have a lot to go through. Seems that my weekend worrier vibe will have to last through the week! LOL. It is all good. I like to work when my table is clean, and I have to confess lately that was not happing. So if by the end of this week I can manage to see my keyboard I will be a happy camper!

Talking about happy. Check out Gilli Balloon bringing a sweet message to two of my craft galfriends that have birthdays this week! Lisa (Hi Lis, see the purple dress?) and also Wini! Happy birthday girls,may all good blessings shower over you and all your wishes come true!

For this project I used Gilli Balloon (from the New Summer Collection) colored with copic markers. This time I added a little ribbon on Gilli hair using a plain white pen. Gilli balloons were also colored with copic markers then toped with glossy accents to give volume and shine. I have to double check my notes about the paper, so I will update this info a bit later. All the pearls were made using liquid pearls. Little birdy was colored with copics and added touches of white pen. Birdy is perched on a prima flower and cotton cord. Sentiment was made using and embossing folder from cuttlebug, colored with copic marker and a little stickles.

Real magic! Gilli Fairy 2!

ello everybody! How are my fellow crafters doing? I am hoping this weekend you will find a little window in your “Back to School” craze to create! Yeap, nothing like a little craft therapy to heal all the shopping one has to endure getting the kiddos ready for another school year! : )
Guys these schools list are crazeee! Why a kid needs 5 boxes of Kleenex..10 sharpies, and the list goes on and on…LOL. I wonder what Mcgiver would have done with these items! Magic! LOL
But let’s talk about real magic. Well, not the David Copperfield’s, or what is the name of that dude that keeps putting himself in some hairy situations? Anyway, the magic I am talking is the one we do in our craft room! Yes you do magic in your craft room. Just like a fairy you gather your bits of paper, twinkle your coloring tools, sprinkle some glitter and ta-dah! A little something that will brighten someone’s day, make your friend smile or just make you happy because you created!
Today I would love to share with you sweet Gilli Fairy 2. Gilli Fairy 2 is just waiting for your magical touch!
I have to say that I had this project in mind since I came back from CHA in Chicago. Sometimes inspiration is waiting just around the corner. In this case it was so true! Inspiration was in a cute corner booth where I found one the most adorable collection of papers I have seen. The colors were just right! The yumiest sets with adorable matching elements! It was like magic…each little stand I looked at a project popped into my mind! Now talk about a line of paper being inspiring! I am sure you probably have seen around, because Authentique papers is the hottest line of paper around.

For this project I decided to create an easel card. I had this picture in mind to create a nice scene for Gilli fairy 2 with the blue pad from Authentique called Journey. Gilli was colored with copic markers and I used white pen to add a little texture to her wing. A fashionable fairy has to have some sparkly bling around, so I added some stickles to her wing.
The window where Gilli is sitting (pretty) was created using two different Martha Stewart punches. I combined the punched pieces together and adorned with flowers. Now check out these tiny pink flowers! These flowers were made using papers from the Splendid pad from Authentique. I told these papers are the bomb!! I punched (with Su punch) and glued together all the tiny flowers. To give a more dimensional feel to the tiny flowers I used McGill tools by shaping the petals (the quality of this paper is super amazing…it has a lot of body to it). I also added a tiny yellow pearl in the center of each flower (Liquid Pearls) for an extra touch. The bottom flowers are prima flowers..they are always so cute. All layer of papers were distressed using Distress inks from Ranger.
I am so glad I was able to sit down gather Gilli, my copics and these gorgeous papers and create a little something to share with you all ! Now it is your turn to do the same! Let you fairy hands make something pretty! I know you can do real magic!

I there! I told you I would be back with more things to share! LOL…Here I am!!! I bring you GILLI STROLL! Gilli Stroll is out and about..fashionable with her pretty dress and crafty purse! Just like all Gillis, Gilli Stroll fits right in within your creative ideas! One of my favorite things on this image is the fact you can customize her purse any way you like it! Did I hear you love paper piecing? There you go. Gilli Stroll is your gal!
Back to School season is right up here…and I bet my boots that you are shopping with your kiddos and grand kiddos, right? Ah nothing like a brand new notebook . I still love the smell, yeah I am a nut. I was always excited and with butterflies in my stomach in every first day at school. What is funny that is the feeling never left me even during my very first days of Graduate school LOL. So how about you making a lovely card to show how much you support your little genius ; )?
Gilli Stroller was colored with copic markers. I added a little touch of glossy accents to her cute little purse to give a texture feel to it. Isn't that purse a dream . I draw and colored her books with copics. I tighten the books in a vintage book belt (yeah she like a vintage chic look). I made the belt by coloring a piece of ribbon with copic. To set the ribbon award base where Gilli is I cut 2 circles and embellished with punched pieces (Martha Stewart), added stickles, pearls (liquid pearl) and rhinestones. The ribbon (legs) was created with 2 embossed paper pieces (Cuttlebug folder). To add that extra school feel I made calligraphy tabs with colorful letters. All done from scratch. Pattern papers are Lilly Bee and October Afternoon.

NEW GILLI :: You color my world!

I folks! What are you all up to? I bet having some really good time in the best way you can! I am like you, I have been trying to keep busy and bringing a bit of color to my corner of the world! : ). Take a look up there! New Gilli!! GILLI PAINTER….she came to color our world!!! Gilli Painter was originally created as a icon for the super talented gals of the House of Gilli. But now Gilli Painter will be coloring your world too!!
My project today is all about friends and friendship. Gilli Painter comes really handy. Painter for sure represents all the new and dear friends I have been making every single day over the blogsphere. The talented people I have the pleasure of talking, chatting, joking, crying, being silly, sharing tips everyday!
The idea came from the Challenge over CMC copic challenge (ALERT! GILLI SPONSORING…you can get a Gilli gift!!). The challenge theme is friendship and you just need to prepare a project inspired by your best friend and an embellishment colored with your copic! Super easy and fun!
Gilli Painter was colored with copic markers and I added a little touch of glossy accents over the paints on her paint tray and her shoes : ). I colored my embellishments with pink copic and added a little pattern with white pen…gosh I won’t say it was easy…but it was challenging and fun! Now the little skittles do look like an eye candy..right? LOL . The pattern papers, if I am not mistaken is recollections. Swirls are die cuts patterns from Silhouette library colored with copics. Punches cuts are from Martha Stewart. All the little pearls were made using Liquid pearls. Gilli base is a cut from Spellbinders. All that shine is Stickles. To add a little touch of home made feel I “stitched” the border of the papers using white pen. To top it off the sentiment that is soooo true to my heart ..cause my best friend do color my world!

See it is all about seeing the positive side of things…so I am celebrating everything!

Today the project I am sharing with your was made for our super cool and always fashionable POLKA DOTS challenge over the House of Gilli Challenge blog! Have you joined? No? Oh come on! Gilli image was colored with copic markers. I added a little glossy accents to Gilli balloons and shoes to add a little dimension. To add up to this summery feel I made sure Gilli was wearing a polka dot blouse. Isn’t that sweet? Oh, but the look would not be complete without nice sparkling earrings…check out those stones LOL. See how easy is to dress up your Gilli? Yeah you should give it a try too!

My cardstock is from my stash and pattern paper by Lily Bee (This & That pad). Punches by Martha Stewart and SU. The banners were hand cut and embossed using Cuttlebug and Quickcutz embossing folders and embellished using a little stickles. Sentiment was handwritten.

olly molly! It has been hot! Although it seems like today we got a break in Gilli land LOL. I have a feeling the hottest days are behind us….and as usual one of these days I will wake up and Bam! WHO…Who put down the thermostat? LOL. That is how I feel every time the season turn. For not…I am still enjoying my cool lemonade and making sure the birds got plenty of fresh water available.

Now I will share with you a brand NEW GILLI! Gilli Girly2! As you can see she is jumping of joy to be part of your crafting world! My girly2 is showing of how much fun summer can be! All the games and the running around! Gilli and the ball were colored with copics markers. I used Martha Stewart punch and pattern paper from recollections. The ribbon is from my collection and I have no clue where I got it..lol. The pearls were made with Liquid Pearl. Oh of course so summer fun is complete without a jumping rope, made with cotton cord.

AHA Summer fun, glitter fun LOL. You really didn’t thing I would pass right? LOL I used stickles over the punched embellishments.

A furry Birthday wish

I everybody! Still hanging in there in this heat? I will tell you..heat is okay by me…humidity…not so much lol. I will take it anyway it comes. I just love seeing everything change…I already see leaves falling in the yard…soon yellow will dominate : )

I have a cute little project to share with you. This is my project for The Craft Door Room Magazine challenge. One of the things that I love about TTCDR is that they bring what is up to date in the craft world. I am sure the next issues will be fill up with good stuff since CHA was just about yesterday : )

Ain’t these guys cute? Image from Stamp Fairy, the sponsor for the Embossing (must pearls) Challenge. My bears were colored with copic markers and the highlight accents done with white pen. For the embossing I picked a cuttlebug folder, ones of the oldies : ). I also used the CB to emboss a little sentiment. I just cut the “birthday” saying and colored with copic and added a little stickles. All the tiny pearls were created using liquid pearls. The “photo corners” are little swirls I created by mixing shapes from the Silhouette library (these were also tinted with copics). All the cardstock used are recollection from Mike’s.

Once up on a time..in a land far far away….

ello people! How you all have been? I miss you all! While I was away my internet was not the most constant..so I was just following and checking a little at time. But here I am!!

Today I am sharing you a project that I made specially for the launch of a super cool group BOOK ENDZ. My lovely friend Suzanne, from Color me Creative Classroom and also the (awesome and really up to date ) Magazine Through the Craft Door Room (by Suzanne and Marty) is launching today a group that mix two thing that a lot of folks love..Book reading and Crafting!

If you are one of us that have a very hyper creative mind…come along!! To celebrate the beginning of this group a KINDLE and so many others amazing gifts (hint hint!) will be given away thought-out the party! Join in the challenges and lets have some fun!

Here is the project I made inspired by the theme of the very first book over BookEndz group. Come one over to discover a little more about the story and share you ideas! I used Gilli Asian rubber stamp (see how Gilli Stamps proves that can be used in whatever way you creative works!!!) colored with copic markers and also using the paper piecing technique. To emphasize and also give a more dimensional look I made sure to add more color over Gilli’s robe. I also created a little Obbi (traditional belt) for Gilli. Well, it is an oriental mixed look . My papers are regular card stock from my personal collection and the pattern one is from my Japanese paper collection and also from Martha Stewart stack. The trellis was made using EK punch toped with a little stickles on top.

As you can see I dig dip into the Asian vibe LOL…As an embellishment I made mini origami butterflies..and colored with copic and added stickles for glitz. To set the mood I also doodle a little stylized cherry bloosson tree next to Gilli using copic markers. No asian look is complete without lanterns..so I made these cute little Fan/lantern from scratch. The details were made by hand using Copic marker, multiliners and also white pen.

Probably by now most of you are aware that one of ours in our group of craft friends, Cindy Echtinaw, owner of StampingScrapping.com has suffered a terrible loss. Lindsey, Cindy and Kev’s lovely daughter passed away this past weekend. The love you all have been sending to the Echtinaw family has been enormous, and Cindy and her family has made sure to say how thankful she is for all of you and your caring messages at his difficult time.

Getting Cozy!

I just came back from CHA Summer in Chicago! Gilli was so very welcomed by so many of our fellow industry members and designers! As you know we launched a brand new series of Gilli at this CHA! My project for the anything goes challenge at House of Gilli Challenge blog showcase Gilli Cozy! Ohhh I can see that many of us can relate to this picture LOL!

Gilli Cozy was colored with Copic markers. I used cryogen paper, can you see the nice sparkling over the copic colors? I just love the look this paper gives to the inked images. My base is made with Anglaise Die cut die. The die was embellished using stamp fro, StampingScrapping Design Stamps (they match with a ton of dies from Spellbinders). To give a different look I also colored the die cut with my copic marker…then added a little glitter on the top…I loved the soft sparkling look.

I created the sentiment by using 4 cuts from the smaller Anglaise die cut and stamped letters using memento ink (stamps from Studio G)…all the coloring was made using copics. The die cut was also inked using the little matching stamp from StampingScrapping designer stamp. Ribbons are Offray. For an extra touch a little pink twine to make it all girly : ).

Favorite copic Tech :: Free

I folks! How you are all doing this weekend? I am a full force working on a few new things and I will be able to share sooooon! YAY! So stay tunned…follow up! I will try to impress LOL.

Today I am here to share my favorite copic technique. Yeah! The current challenge over CMC copic challenge…use your favorite copic coloring technique. My favorite tech…FREE..LOL..I just love to grab my colors and do whatever the image calls me to do at time…I just enjoy not thinking too much and let set free! LOL.

My image is from Tiffany Doodles. Tiffany has a lovely collection of images available : ). I love hydrangeas and they scream summer to me. I just enjoy the blast of colors they can give to any nook in a yard : ). I used the following copics for this project: w3, voooo, V05, V06, B06, YG63, YG95, YG97, G24, G20, B83.

Even though I free handed..not following a specific pattern or tech for coloring I tried to keep the edges of my drawing dark in a tentative to add dimension to the image. I also darken the veins of the leaves to emphasize the shape. You don’t really think I would pass a little bling ha? LOL.. I just added touches of stikles very sparingly over the petals. The swirls (a hybrid that I created using existing shapes from silhouette) were also “blinged” LOL. All other embellishments are from stash. I am note sure about the pattern paper I will update you soon on it.

WANTED! A Cowgirl’s world!

ello everybody!! Or should I say Howdy everyone! LOL

Today I am sharing with you’re a little project showcasing Gilli Cowgirl! Girl I love your boots! LOL.

I went for a total country look with this card…I need to ask Suzanne for a little sing along with a Sugarland song LOL..(she is mad about them!)..

Cowgirl Gilli was colored with copic markers. This time I did no alterations to the image. I created this pattern paper specially for this gal…nothing better then a little cow pattern to give that extra touch ha? LOL..Of course the gal needs a bling, so I added a little touch of diamond dust to her belt and boots.

The die cuts are heart shapes (Spellbinder) and Anglaise lace die cut. They were inked with SU inks and stamping scrapping stamps sets. “Wanted” sentiment is a Gilli sentiment rubber stamp…LOL..doesn’t it say it all? LOL. The little I love you belongs to the frou frou stamp set from SS stamps. Pearl Hearts and cotton cords are from my personal pile of stuff LOL…good stuff though!

It is time to celebrate in Red White and Blue!

t’s time to get ready to celebrate in Red, White and Blue! Pull up your color tools and flag you creativity with pride! Happy 4th! What a beautiful country, culture and people! So much to learn! I cannot ever get enough of! Everywhere I go..every person I speak I learn something new.

To kick off the celebrations for the 4th of July Gilli Show gal brings her baton and Red, White and Blue colors!! Gilli is opening the festivities so you can join the fun! As you can see I did a few modifications on Gilli show gal by just altering the way I colored her hair and cutting of her cap! Ta-dah! You can do it to! Gilli is all about that…make it your own!!

Gilli was colored with copic markers…her corset was detailed with little blue stripes I created using my faithful copic multiliner (gray). Since this is party time nothing better and more festive then a sparkle cardi! I created this effect of transparency using Copics C shade toping with Stikles and touches of white pen marker. Similar sparkle effect was used in her skirt.

Gilli ribbon stick was made from scratch by braiding the ribbons and attaching to the metallic baton. Doesn’t Gilli looks lovely with those cute earrings? LOL. Gilli background was created using Spellbinder Nestability plus distressing inks and by adding liquid pearls ( this stuff is so cool!). Ah… now one of my favorite things on this card is the tiny little banners! I made one by one by hand…gosh I love sewing and every opportunity I have I try to incorporate to my cards. I added a little star on the top of each banner to give a more finished look. My embossed background was created using cuttlebug embossing folders and toping the embossed part with stickles. The sentiment was made by hand. See how easy was to make Gilli join the 4th of July celebration? I am sure you can come up with thousands of idea more! ello darlings! Here I come to share a brand new project! We launched a brand new challenge over House of Gilli! The theme is Ribbons and Bows! I hope I will see your creation over there! You know the doors are always open for all of you!

Sometimes it is funny how a cards comes to mind. I have no idea why but as soon as I sat down to prepare the project for this new challenge Gilli Classy came to mind to be feature in this project. Right here on my hand I have a few different ways to showcase this stamp. This is one image that is a must if you a a Gilli collector!

With Ribbons and Bows in mind I went for the preppy classy vibe! Does anyone think country club ? LOL. Well what is more preppy then a cute little pink channel inspired look? Always a classic (somehow I can hear Fran Fine in my head saying that LOL). Gilli was colored with copic makers. All the details on the image was created using copics and copic multiliners.

The Swirls were a combo that I created using shapes from Silhouette. I added a little bling over the swirls and also over the punched embelishment edges. The ribbon is from Michaels ( Tks Ann..she pointed that this ribbon to me : ) ). The patterned paper is from Martha Stewart collection. Cardstock from my warehouse LOL..Oh I almost forgot! The pearls were made with Liquid pearls..oh my..I want all colors of the rainbow of this stuff!! LOL

A rainbow of Buttons!

ey you! How are you all doing? I cannot believe we had gotten stuck with that cold snap and the boom heat! LOL. It is all good since I am glad to hop on my Havaianas now..Thanks mom! Mom is my supplier for flip flops…but since I learned from the best (Mom) I can score some good deals on my own…humm I see rainbows of flip flops! LOL.

Talking about rainbows I will share with you now my lastest project for the House of Gilli Challenge. Our current challenge was picked by Ann! Buttons! Now you are talking! I have a bazillion of buttons and I love to create whatever with them…probably this little thing is high up on my list of essentials…pretty much together with earrings to me (Oh gosh don’t ask LOL). Anyway back to the project….I picked my little stamp Gilli Tee to be the main focus of my card.

The little rainbow quality tags were created using Cuttlebug embossing folders…yeah..I know…another thing that I cannot seem to live without (Did I tell you that CB folders were one the things that made me pay more attention to card making? Yeah…was almost like the same bam! as copics!!!! I was intrigued how to to use them as soon I saw a project!). I cut out each little word and colored using copic markers..I added matching little buttons to pinpoint each one of them. Buttons were also embellished using copics.

The pattern paper is my own design. I created all the swirls combining pre existing shapes with the silhouette. All the tiny pearls were made using Liquid pearls….okay..I will say now so we can rest later…I am hooked (Thanks Suzanne for pointing it out!). A girly card is not a girly card without some bling from Stikles and tiny rhinestones to create the super cute earrings Gilli is using!

elooo everyone! Here I come! WOW what a gurrgeous day we had! Raise and shine! Seems like everyone looks a bit happier about this time of the year…Keep the the feeling! Tomorrow planting time! I hope the weather will hold..since I saw some funky clouds creeping in later on the day..humm LOL
Well no matter what I will keep myself busy! So many cool things ahead! I can barely wait to share! For now I will be sharing with you a new project I prepared for the Through the craft door room Magazine (TTCRD) Challenge. Have you seen it? If not.. oh you are in for a super treat! This is not your regular magazine…it is full of inspirational ideas that goes beyond paper crafting! Pop by and you will see what I mean!

The new Challenge at TTCRD is paper piecing. I love this technique. Why? I love to cut tiny pieces of paper! LOL Yeah I know I got issues LOL. For my project I used Gilli stamp :: Gilli Asian and her little Buddy Chinese Doll from Hero arts (love hero arts BTW). I stamped both images and paper pieced her their dresses. After I glued the pieces in the right place I grabbed my copics and added shading so the image would get a better dimensional feel. I also added a little bling by using Stickles. Another thing I did was enhance the original designs of the paper by highlighting details with a white pen. For this card I also decide to create the embellishments from scratch. I made little fans by pleating the left over paper that I used for the gals dresses. I added a little adornment to the fan by knotting colored cords and adding a little wood bead…I actually liked the looks! It was nice to create the right thing to match the Asian vibe!
I will try to make more pieced things and creating my embelies from scratch. I really enjoy. It takes a little while longer…but the end results is just what you had in mind.

Brake a Leg! Little Ballerina!

ey you all! I hope everyone is doing well and keeping the crafts tools bu-sy! Where does your inspiration comes from? Did you ever really stop to think about that? Yesterday as I was talking to a lovely close friend I realized one of the reasons why I love blues and green blues…memories family, fun and blessings. My grampa & grandma’s home was painted that color. I know it can sound a bit weird but believe me…the color fit like a glove where it is : ).

The brand new challenge over Color me creative classroom Copic Challenge is “Feathers”. The theme made me touch base with another little piece of my memories where my inspiration come from : ). I was thinking to color a bird…since I am nuts about animals. But one night while I looking where to find the right image I came up with an idea. How about an inspired ballet card? I am sure there are a lot of little young ballerinas around us : ). Of course the Swan Lake came to my mind as fast as the word ballet popped LOL. I hold a very dear space in my heart to ballet. I still remember the first time I saw one live…I remember when I got my point shoes. I still hold to it. I love ballet and I wish I had a class nearby. While I am training (in a fun way…as a way to move) I am in the zone…in peace. There is nothing like the feel of focusing on movements while listening to amazing music. One of my happy places. I really need to start again somehow . ..and I love it. I miss my teachers, one of them my best friend in college…yeap I was a ballet student as a young adult and I did the beginners class with little girls…it was so cool!!

For this project I am using Gilli Celtic. Thanks to my copic markers and copic multiliners I was able to try to develop a feathery look for Gilli celtic in a “Black Swan” costume. Clearly I need to practice…but I am okay with the current look. I used lots of my shades of Cs to create depth and volume necessary for the skirt. I wanted a tulle feel with feathers on the top. I am seriously thinking to try a few more times since it was quite fun to prepare this one. The same markers and multiliners were used to the bodice of the dress. The head piece also was created using C markers to create the necessary volume of the feathers. The tiara was also created by free handing the swirls in the already existing image. Tip here for the look..I used the brush copic mutiliner. It is an amazing tool since you can, depending on how you hold your pen, go from thick to fine line (you can see on the ballet shoes – a little boo boo over there I might add LOL)…for more added texture I used a variety of # of multiliners (trying to keep proportion).I need to add that to help with the texture feel of the feathers I added Stikles over the costume.

Just ‘case I was having a ball and I wanted to add extra fun I color another Gilli with her stage make up on….Gosh those are some eyelashes LOL Dontcha think? lol…but I was trying to achieve the very deep look from Black Swan Make up..so mysterious. I left this tiara without stickles so you could see clearly the pens strokes. One of the reasons why I think cardmaking is so much fun…preparing a card so personalized for your dear one. You can literally transform your images using copics…and Gilli images are created for you to be able to do that….kick up a notch and make extra special! ello ladies and Gent! How is everyone doing this middle of week? As usual I am keeping busy over here making projects while regular life happens LOL. I am also working on some other goodies that hopefully we will be able to share soon. I had an amazing weekend with the visit of my dear friend Suzanne. Gosh did I need to laugh a little…and believe me…She can make you laugh! So I highly recommend you popping into one of Suzanne’s copic classes…( check out her CMC on the road website!! SC NC here she comes!!) you not only will have a super class in coloring but you will have a ball!

Dionne is the hostess of the current House of Gilli challenge. Black plus one color! I held to the challenge rules and I stick to Cs and Es…copic lengo…for Blacks and Browns. Here you can see the little project I prepared for the challenge. Gilli Graduate was colored with copics. I added just a little touch of Stickles on her graduation ring to make it special : ). I wanted to give a more up to date vibe to the graduation card…so I picked this super cute paper from My minds eye and cut a piece that looks like a real certificate. It sooo set the tone for the whole thing! Well a certificate needs a cute frame to be showcase so I created a frame by layering paper pieces punched with Martha Stewart punches. I used regular cardstock and kraft paper. A real diploma must have a seal, right? I created a “celebrate” seal for the certificate by embossing a little cut out piece of card stock. I also added a thin layer of stickle around of the embossing. For an added flair I looped a nice piece of ribbon.
To make this card even more special I made a base using a folded piece of acetate. The acetate gives such a cool airy look…almost futuristic…well, graduation is all about tomorrow right?

ello boys and girls! I would love to share with you a little project I made for the MSL challenge. A cutsey graduation card for the young or the young at heart : ).

For this project I used Magnolia Stamp colored with copic markers and highlighted with white pen. The card base is regular cardstock and pattern paper from K &Co. I distressed all the pieces with Ranger Distress inks. The cute notebook pages layers were created using a paper punch from EK. Ain’t that cute?! All the detailing were added using copic multiliners (you know how much I loooove my multiliners, right? LOL). Every grad need a ribbon lol..I added a little embelie that I handmade with the left over piece from my pattern paper, ribbon and a little flower bling.

Gilli Lady :: Sweet! 15…16 or a Bride!

ello everybody! Finally some warm weather! This past week was gorgeous! Oh, what a delight! For once I could pull the trash can wearing my Havaianas (stunt pulled by a professional do not repeat at home LOL)! Yippe..I cannot help but be inspired by the blue skies. As I mentioned so many times…I absolutely love each and every season’s light…and spring never fail me to show some sweet colors.With all the colors around one color really pops! WHITE! Here you can see I project I made for the CMC Copic Challenge, a challenge group over Color me Creative Classroom owned my lovely friend Suzanne J. Dean. Anyone can join the fun!

BTW Suzanne and spent sometime together and It was FUN FUN FUN! Gosh I loved each and every second…I have not had this much girlfriend time in a looooong time…As you all know Suzanne and I are always awake in the wee hours finishing up our work load that seems that never end!!! We live in copic fumes for real! Burning the 3 am oil (we always past the mightnight one lol). I also had a lovely time meeting my buddy DT Melanie (from CMC and TTCDR) and her dear hubby Charlie. Charlie was kind enough to drop Melanie so she could go to MI with Suzanne for her Copic Class!!! Talking about classes… if you are in or nearby NORTH & SOUTH CAROLINA…Classes are OPEN for pre registration at CMC on the Road. Don’t lose your place in this awesome class! You can ask anyone who took Suzanne’s classes…It is one the best investment you will make to get full use of your copics! Kid you NOT! It is a a fun day with gals that just “get it” what coloring is all about! I cannot wait to do it again!!!

My latest project is all about white! We were challenged over CMC Challenge group to make a project coloring in white! You say: “What? Coloring in white?”. Yeap…you can color to make a white effect making you image to pop! Sounds scary? NO WAY! White is one of the easiest coloring techniques when using your marker. Here you can see Gilli Lady, one of the Gilli of my newest collection, all dressed in white! Check out the lace effect you can create in the dress using copic multiliners!

I purposely made a card without a sentiment to show you how versatile a Gilli image can be! This all white card can be easily be sent to a young lady that are getting ready for her debut celebrating her 15 Year Birthday (“Quinceañera”. The equivalent in Latin American Countries). No Teenager's in your circle? How about that special Bride? Seems like May is the Bride’s month…so here is a cute idea for you to get ahold! The soft shades in the card plus all the fence embossing create a elegant vibe perfect for such a special occasion….and I am sure she will remember what gift you sent out ; ).

ello Everyone!!!!!!!!!! Welcome to my little place! I bet you jaw just dropped as soon as you saw Cindy’s project!!! Yeah! She is a fabulously creative soul! Today I am very happy to be hopping with my talent buddies from Stamping Scrapping Design Team with ton of inspiration to you all with Just Rite Stamps.

My project today show case Just Rite Stamp from the set “ Just a Note”. I fell in love with Just Rite Stamps at a first sight a little while ago when I fist started doing serious cardmaking. I can still remember my first purchase from Cindy . These stamps are what I call essential in my craft box. They go with pretty much everything and the sky is the limit. Here in my project you see the stamp “ Just because stamp” surrounded by Gilli Stamp Accessories “ heart”. A simple an easy card that I am sure anyone can wipe in a few minutes and with a few pieces of cardstock! I used Su ink pads and the pattern paper by anaRy design. The combo of images and sentiment is a match in heaven! Just right!

oho!! I have two words to say to the troops, and all the others we don’t know who they are, their families….THANK YOU!

I had another card schedule for today, but I had to change..I had to put out there my thank you for your service from the bottom of my heart and the tip of my pencil!

I had this project ready as a celebration for the mom’s out there that serve for this country (mom’s from all other countries that serves as well!)…all branches and agencies. That is how Gilli G.I came about…some people sing, write…I draw…and that is how Gilli GI was born. This is my tribute to you. You know who you are! All I know is that you are brave and you are strong! You carry the flag of freedom for all in your soul! I had my card ready for later this week…but after the news came about last night. I could not sleep until I had make sure my thank you for your service was here for you! Men and woman in uniform…thank you thank you!!!!!

We all know there are still work to do…more family gatherings you will miss. But we will be here honoring you. Thanking you for keeping us safe from evil and protecting our freedom. We will continue to pray for you and for yours. May G-d bless you…

For all the families that lost a loved one in this course. We honor your loved one. We will never forget.

Seems to me today is a good moment to spread the word that there are a lot of agencies that care for our troops. They try to comfort and bring a little of home to soldiers wherever they might be. One of the agencies try to help soldiers keeping in touch with their loved ones…and help them participate in all special moments in their families life sending a special card. OPERATION WRITE HOME.

On her day :: Wedding Project fit for a Queen!

ere comes the Bride all dressed in white…Well not always! I loooove looking through bridal magazines…the dresses are so pretty now a days. So many options aside the traditional crisp white. Although a classic is a classic, one has to remember…It is HER day after all and the dress needs to suit the bride’s personality in my mind : ).

Now before I go ahead with the itsy bitsy of my project I have news to celebrate and share with all!! Today I am officially joining the Though the Craft Door Room Magazine Design Team! A magazine created by the super talented ( and dear friends) Marti Wills and Suzanne J. Dean. YAY! I am sooo thrilled! I am in such great company! The girls are beyond talented and I believe we have a super close circle of readers that welcome any new crafter always with open arms!!! Join us for our very first TTCRD challenge..Psss…. the prize is awesome! Join in! The challenge is open for anyone that would like to get in! No need to subscribe!

Since May is bridal month in so many places I decide to make a project inspired on this special day! Well, we just witnessed one of the weddings of the century this past weekend and OMG the bride was just glorious! DREAMY!There is something special about weddings and you don’t need to be a royalty…but for sure you must feel and look like one!

So for my Wedding project I created a little bridal gift set (or could also be used as a a Bride & Bride’s maid party feature), a decorated cupcake (with icing matching the lovely Champagne color of the bride’s dress) with a cupcake topper indicating who is the special one! No doubt here, it is all about “Her day”! I used the just released Lil’ Bride and Bouquet from the BRAND NEW SERIES OF GILLI STAMPS….LIL’GILLI!!!! Yeah! They are small enough to give that special compliment to all your Gilli Projects!!! You have plenty of space to color too!!! THE real icing on the cake for your projects!

To make the cupcake topper base I used two layers of cut out from my Silhouette die cutter Library adding a little sparkly border. LIL’ GILLI Bride and Bouquet (Memento on Cryogen paper) was colored using copic markers. As you can see I tried to give the dress a real texture feel and that sating look…using Smooch. Her veil was also colored with Copic and the crystal effect was created using Stikles. The tiny pearl earing was created using Viva Décor pearl pen! All the flowers you see in the picture are edible flowers made by hand by yours truly! I loveeee making them…such a therapy! LOL. Now to complete the gift set…just a little something special to make it all more sweet: ).

ello Everyone! Welcome to my little Atelie! I am sure you already got wowed by Alicia’s project! Well you will be on clouds after you reach the end of this hop. The teams are so talented and I am very happy to be participating on this hop!

Ahhh spring! So many colors! The light just makes everything more special! To create this colorful spring background I used Woodware USA house stamp set Easy Stitching. I picked two of the many stamps of this set and using different colors stamp pads a rainbow of stitches came to life! Spring scream flowers! No problem, another stamp from the same set from Woodwarehouse and bingo! I have a rows of embroidery flowers! I colored each one using my copic markers, matching the stitch rainbow pattern paper.

Now that the set is ready….Gilli Romantic! She comes as a fairy sprinkling good wishes from this lovely season to the new friends we are making today! Gilli Romantic was colored with copic markers. Her dress pattern was created free hand and also colored with copics. Fairies needs a little a pretty magical glow…so I created a cute little one using Anglaise die cut and tied little pieces of cotton cord. Martha Stewart punch, pearlized embelishments and glitter glue from Studio G.

I loved how the Easy Stitching set gave me the freedom of creating the perfect background for Gilli! Oh! I almost forgot…check out the fairy dust I put on the paper…Well…Glimmer mist for down to earth people….for me…sprinkles of creativity to all of you! I hope ya’ll liked the project!

Groovie Gilli Tee!

ellooooo everyone! What you guys are planning for the weekend? Maybe a Royal Wedding marathon preparation? : ). Well my skies are not cooperating..it is kind of gray and I feels actually chilly…which spooks me from the outdoor. The only good thing about this upcoming storm is the wash….yeah this will wash a gazillions ton of pollen that is making everything yellow! Seems that I just might join you for the marathon after all lol…might squeeze a clean up too. I am in a quest to reclaim my sanity! LOL

Okay! Here we gooo! OMG I will tell you a secret I have some phobia of the 70’s colors..gezz no offence but by holly coco…who decided to pick some of the 70’s colors….not my BFF…because I simply run from it..LOL. Joking aside..I had to prepare a little card for the House of Gilli Challenge – I was already under pressure with a to do list from the ages..and I will not even mention the interruptions LOL – Yeah I know you get me )…I was in a crisis thinking what Gilli to use (you know it is hard for a Mama to pick and choose a kid lol). So I looked for my papers for inspirations…and Bang! Some colors came to my attention..combined with AJ theme..stripes and bling…Tada! Boogie! I cannot believe but I actually made a card pulling a 70’s vibe…I took the liberty of brushing off a little bit of the shades LOL. Hellooo..we are in the 21 century after all LOL. But doesn’t Gilli look like she just pooped from some kind of time machine? LOL. Gilli Tee was colored with Copics and blinged up with Stickles. The flowers (we are in Spring after all lol) are prima with a touch of distress inks…I also distressed all the paper pieces (K & CO and DCWV). The punched pieces are from Martha Stewart and SU. My sentiment was written by hand using my fab copic multiliner (Loooove it). I pulled a very pale pink ribbon just for a touch…(I am following Sketchers Saturday sketch).

Gilli Renaissance:: 1 st Eucharist

ello everyone. It has been raining like nobody’s bizz around here. It is crazy…bom rain and wind starts all of sudden. I am hoping the weather will give a little brake so I can work some flowers I got ahold of. Gardening has become one of the things I consider my “fun time”. Cake decorating is the other. I love making cute little things to put on the top of cakes and cupcakes. I will try to share sometime…the only problem with eatable art…doesn't last long. LOL. Well right now I cannot bake cupcakes as usual because we started Passover…and we keep all leavened things out of our homes. The Seder is the time to recount the exodus and the miracles G-d did and still does! This is a blessed season…and I believe it is raining blessings!

We are in a season where a lot of my friends will be celebrating Easter. Also a lot of my friends’ kids and friends’ greatkids will be celebrating their First Holy Communion. I prepared this card for a First Eucharist using Gilli Renaissance . For the 1st communion kids wear white in sign of purity…Gilli was lightly colored to give that crisp white feel of a white dress. The lace details were freehand using copic multiliner. I added a little shine using a light coat of stickles. Since Gilli is dressed up for such lovely occasion I also added some flowers (tiara like) at the top of her her…the tiara is holding a veil (used by girls only). I created the flowers on her hair using white pen and toped with Stickles.

This project was created for the challenge at SSCC, Rain & Water. I decide to interpreter the challenge in a different way where the shiny drops (sparkly DOTS) in the background are blessings casted upon the child and the water is represented by the gloss finish at the cross (made with a combo of Stickles & UTT) Before I added the shine and the gloss I embossed the cross with Sizzix embossing folder. The whole idea was to keep the feel of this card very Ethereal and Angelic…just like I saw many of my friends on their Special day..their First communion. I hope you like the idea! It is a lovely card to offer someone!
